Latest Kate installment

Mark's building downtown after Hurricane Ike gave it a facelift, literally. Shouldn't you get an automatic vacation for something like that?!

The carousel at the Hogle zoo. Kate HAS to ride the giraffe every time - anything to get a height advantage.

So safety conscious. She even put it up early sometimes, predicting skier wipe outs.

I think this one looks like Kate is delivering bad news to a patient. She has a really good bedside manner.

Kate and Dad enjoying BYU's annihilation of UCLA 59-0 in football Saturday.

One of Jen's recent creations. It was the best fruit pizza I've ever had. The crust was just right. I'm so lucky Jen likes to do this stuff.

Camille's mascara applied as lip-liner. This is why girls aren't supposed to wear make-up until they're at least sixteen. Where was her Dad on that one?! Curious to know what crazy things the Thurber kids have consumed over the years Mark and Marleen?

Kate after one of her 30+ hour shifts at the hospital.

Thanks for the picture of my building, Scott. It was the first one I saw. No downtown access until Thursday, we are being told. Despite the enormous number of windows out, only 8 in the 12 floors occupied by our firm, and mine is not one of them despite facing east.

I've been out with my chain saw all day. No one is safe.

Scott,
I love getting a Dad's perspective on things. I have a favor to ask. Friday, Sept. 26, is Steven's birthday. I was hoping you would send him an email wishing him the best and letting him know what you're up to. If you have the time, he would love to hear from you. His email is spziemer@gmail.com. Thanks a lot!
