Some "personality shots":
The funnest part of Easter for Kate was hunting for the plastic eggs and knowing that there was candy inside every one. It's so fun to rediscover holidays through your child's eyes. (She's grabbing an egg here although it's a little hard to see.)

Some other things we've been up to lately... Kate was successfully potty-trained about a month ago and has been doing really well with it, although I'm bummed that she wakes us up at least once a night to use the potty. She's looking forward to her new baby sister's arrival and has an idealistic view of their future relationship. ("We won't fight, and she's not gonna take away my toys," etc.)
My students' piano recital was on Thursday, and overall everyone played really well. The video Scott posted below was my contribution to that recital. Now that it's over I'm done teaching until June, so I'm basically waiting (preparing?) for the baby to come at this point.
Scott is working hard on his Neurology rotation, having just finished OB-gyn so he'll be able to deliver our baby. :) He recently joined this men's indoor soccer league and has really enjoyed playing competitive sports again. (He's in the light blue shorts - NOT the one getting the red card!)
Scott's sister Karen had a baby a few weeks ago and his mom was in town helping out. Here we are celebrating her birthday on Friday at Five Guys Burgers & Fries. L to R: Ryan, Karen, Laura, Ben, Mom/Cathy, and me. (Scott was taking the photo.)
A few weeks ago Dad came into town with a very exciting gift for us - thanks, Dad! It was so fun to spend time with him and Christine for a few days. Here we are during a Kate-directed reading session.
Hope everyone had a Happy Easter!

Oh...how I miss Kate! You guys need to do a "Kate post" more often, especially once Jane arrives. These pics brought back fun memories of Easter egg hunts. I love it when you posts lots of pictures!
P.S. I like the new backdrop on the post.
Kate is very quickly growing into a little lady. Good luck, Scott.

Cute post! i'm excited to meet the new baby, Karen, someday! :D I have to ask..... what's a red card the apparently Scott didn't get at the soccer game?
Christine
Cute pictures!! I can't wait to see the new little gal! And way to go on potty training! Isn't it the best?? I guess you get to save the diaper money at least for a month or two?? :)
Kate is so cute! I loved her dress. Again, you look so great. I'm excited for you and your new addition. Keep us posted. We're coming to Utah in June and can't wait to see you guys again. =)
I think this might be the first time I've commented on your blog, Jen....
Kate is adorable!! I can't wait for pics of your newest little one--she'll be just as cute, I know it :)
Take care and enjoy the remaining "prep" days. Make sure Scott gives you lots and lots of foot rubs :)
