Where we have been!

This will be a massive update on where we have been and what we have been doing since the wedding.

First of all, we had a wonderful ceremony in the Salt Lake Temple. Thanks to all friends and family who attended and shared our important day with us!




We then flew to Chicago for our honeymoon and had a great time exploring the city and eating fancy food. (2nd pic is at Harry Carey's steakhouse across the street from our hotel.)

We saw some live jazz...


Becky taught me about the finer aspects of world culture in the art museum...






and we did lots of shopping on the Magnificent Mile, (this is me wearing clothes we bought Megan for Christmas)


The Mortensens drove up from St. Louis to join us for Christmas.


Then we all left together to go back to St. Louis for our open house there, then back to Provo to move into our new pad, then to Houston for New Years, Dad's PR marathon, and the Open House there, where the Mortensens again joined us. Finally back to Provo for the beginning of school: my last semester at BYU and Becky's second straight 18-credit load. (Below is Dad approaching the finish in just over 4 hours from starting.)


On Feb 1 I flew to St. Louis to interview there, and found out that same morning that I matched with UT-Houston. Upon arriving back in Provo, I found this...

For Valentine's weekend Becky and I took off to Vegas. On the way down Becky tried her first In-n-Out burger (why we never did that last year in OC, who knows)


Went on a little helicopter tour there and saw a Cirque du Soleil show at Treausre Island.

We stayed at the Trump resort, which was very classy and wholesome (one of the few LV resorts without a casino in the lobby.)


Also saw the Bellagio gardens decked out for Chinese New Year over Valentine's (Mommas don't raise no fools over at the Bellagio. They know where their revenue comes from - not Americans celebrating Valentine's Day)

Becky's sister Megan came and stayed with us for a month in March, which was a blast (below is our attempt to look eccentric in the costumes we wore to Alice in Wonderland)


and then we all hung out at a big house in St. George for a family reunion with Becky's mom's side right before finals.

After finals, we flew down to Houston and started buying a house to live in during med school there, with ample help from mom and good advice from dad. The house is pictured below and, though we are under contract, we are still debating whether to go through with it or not, due to difficulties with repair negotiations.


We got back the night before spring classes started for Becky, and I started working for her uncle's landscaping company, which I will keep up until we move away at the end of the summer.

Right now we are watching Kate and Jane while Jen and Scott are in New York.


Can't wait to see Mom and Dad at Scott's graduation this weekend; hope everyone's summer is off to a great start!
