Thought I would keep this blog up-to-date by posting some current photos for once. Some of these were even taken today! Amazing, I know.
The first and last time Jane tried to squeeze out her own salad dressing. She was a little traumatized.
Scott enlisted the girls to help him paint some wood for a new garden box he was building. We let them wear our old T-shirts which they thought was awesome. Jane is painting her foot in every picture we have from this event.
Earlier this month I hosted a girls' night/birthday party for some good friends here. It was such a blast.
A couple of weeks ago Scott's mom, who was babysitting our nephews and niece in Houston, met us in Brenham to tour the Blue Bell ice cream factory. Everyone had a great time. The tour was interesting (and short) and the free ice cream at the end was universally celebrated.
All three girl cousins chose strawberry. After sampling theirs, we decided it may be Blue Bell's best flavor. They really make an amazing strawberry ice cream.
Kate saved the hats so she could wear them with her friends later that week.
Central Texas bluebonnets are so gorgeous. We had a great time snapping pictures in them today. The midday light wasn't ideal - too bright, too many shadows - but we were all available and wearing clean church clothes so we kind of had to capitalize on that. Luckily this field is right across the street from our neighborhood so we didn't have to travel either.
Luckily it's not hard to get these girls to pose like this. They really do love each other.
Austin, thanks to the trusty gorilla pod you gave us, we were able to take some family pictures without enlisting the help of innocent passersby.
Don't be fooled - Jane isn't actually asleep in this picture. She was just faking because she was sick of smiling for the camera.
Flower pic by Scott, the "budding" photographer.
Happy bluebonnet month!

Oh, how I love this post! The salad dressing goof happens to us all at some point - ha! I love the Blue Bell Creamery - yum. And, WOW - can't decide which blue bonnet pic to use for my computer wallpaper - what great pictures! You should have some of those enlarged - I would love a couple!
Jane has unwittingly exposed the great secret of women's art -- paint and makeup are essentially the same.
I love the picture of Jane with the dressing and her painting her foot and her pretending to sleep because she was tired of smiling! They all made me laugh:) The bluebonnet pictures are so pretty! I may want one to frame and put in my room:) Not trying to be a stalker or anything...
Oh yeah! And I will blog after my NYC trip to blog about NYC and our spring break trip to the east coast:) Happy blogging!
SO fun!! We actually went over in that neighborhood this evening to take some too--such a great location! :) So awesome you got some family pics in there. That is monumental!!
And Jane cracks me up....all the time! :) She is such a funny, independent little spirit!
So cute Jen!! We took bluebonnet pictures today too!!
Mom, I'm pretty sure the salad dressing goof never happens to anybody. ;) Kate and Jane look like Siamese (for the PC, conjoined) twins in the first bluebonnet pic with just them. Tell Kate to start mentally preparing to meet a sometimes-hyper Snooki on Friday
SUPER fun post! Jane is such a hoot! And your girls are so beautiful and such fun sister-friends!
My favorite picture was of Jane painting her own foot lol but awesome post!
