I like Trevor, plus some other stuff

I don't think I have blogged about what a pleasant baby this little guy is.  Trevor is definitely my easiest baby so far.  He only cries when he's hungry or tired (sometimes not even then), and if I'm too busy to hold him he is perfectly happy to just hang out.  He has always been a good sleeper and started sleeping through the night by himself awhile ago.  Other than the copious amounts of spitup he produces, I wouldn't change a thing about him.  He is very laid back and smiley.  I've come to the conclusion that he's just a nice person.

Trevor is 2 1/2 months old now.

Jane started preschool last month.  She was out-of-her-mind excited about it, especially after the long wait - Kate started a week and a half before her.

She goes twice a week and it is a good break for both of us.  It sounds like she is auditioning for the role of teacher's pet - apparently she likes to do little tasks for her teacher without being asked, and spends at least part of each recess time standing by her teacher chatting with her.

Some more Trevor:

I like his face in this one. :)

Last Sunday our families came into town to witness the blessing of Trevor Scott Swendsen by his father.  It was a sweet occasion and we were grateful that our families made such an effort to be there.  After the blessing Scott took this picture of me with my three little ones.  I can't believe I have three kids - that sounds like a lot, huh?

The whole group after church.  Left to right - Becky, Clint, John Swendsen, Cathy Swendsen, our little family, then my dad, my mom, and Laura Swendsen Checketts.

We were able to get one family pic where at least everyone was looking at the camera.

We should have taken more pictures of Trevor's little white tux.  It was awesome.  He wasn't very comfortable, though, and kept spitting up on the little bowtie.

Dinner after the blessing.

On Monday the last of our visitors left, and then on Tuesday I hosted a baby shower for my dear friend Vanessa (with the help of several other friends - thank goodness for their help!).

Our friend Erika made the tablecloth look like a football field with tiny baby footprints.

The shower was well attended, as you can see.  We have such a fun group of ladies here!

On Saturday, Scott and his friend Isaac (Vanessa's husband) drove to Dallas for their first mud run.  It was a 5k with 20 obstacles.  They had a blast.  Scott's goal was to get as muddy as possible, and I think he succeeded.  He feels that mud runs are much more his style than regular running.

Just had to end this post with a little more Trevor.

Church clothes!

In Jane's first 3 pictures she looks like Jen, Camille, and then Scott respectively. She's like a lizard

I think Mom should post one more time. As for Jane, I think teacher's pet is definitely the way to go. Austin tried the other thing, and I think he would agree.

Trevor is a little stud muffin! Its fun to see all these pics of your not-so-little-anymore family. My favorite pics are the ones of Scott fondly gazing at his son. You can tell he is one proud Pop, and he should be! He waited awhile to get his little buddy. Glad to hear he is such a good baby for you Jen - thats so great!
