I decided that if I waited too much longer, the task of catching up might get too overwhelming, so I bring you... snapshots from our lives, from November to present.
Happy Jane after her preschool Thanksgiving feast.
Matching outfits are still really awesome for these two.
Family Thanksgiving Turkey Trot! It was a 5 miler. Love this tradition.
Dar and David met Trev at Thanksgiving.
Sibling pic for family Christmas cards! L to R: Clint, Christine, Camille, Austin, yo.
Kate lost her two front teeth right before Christmas. I miss that gap.
Movie night! I like Trevor's expression.
Jane dishes out some pretty intense affection.
First Christmas. :) Too bad none of those presents are actually for him.
The girls got a bubble machine for Christmas and Scott took this action shot.
After opening Christmas presents early at home, we flew to Canada this year! Every single member of Scott's family was present, all 31 of us.
As if the Swendsen grandchildren aren't hard enough to tell apart already, we put them in matching PJs.
All the ladies got matching PJs too!
And of course the men didn't get left out.
One of the many highlights of our Canada trip was visiting the new Calgary, AB temple. We even got a special tour after our session that made us feel like VIPs.
Scott took Kate skiing and she loved it. We're hoping that family ski trips are in our future so we're carefully trying to convert each of our children. One down, two to go.
Kate and her cousin Reese are great buddies.
This is one of the first times Trevor tried solid foods.
Ironically, solids are pretty much the only thing he'll eat now.
This one is a fun laughing video. As far as Trevor is concerned, Kate is the funniest person alive. Scott was mostly pleased that Trevor already finds fart sounds so amusing.
Jane and I have lots of time together with Kate gone at all-day kindergarten. Jane has preschool twice a week in the morning, and when she gets home she likes to eat her lunch out of a lunch box like Kate does at school.
For my birthday we went on a hiking date! Yes, there is a real hiking spot near Temple. Scott looks underwhelmed with the waterfall we found, but it was actually a lot of fun.
The girls decided that I should have a themed cake for my birthday; who cares if I'm an adult? So they teamed up with Scott and made a piano cake. I thought that Kit Kats were an ingenious addition. Bonus points to whoever can identify the chord that Scott spelled out with the candles.
Our snuggly boy.
Our ward had a Daddy-Daughter dance recently and the girls were SO excited to get fancy and go out with their very fun dad. They took quite a few pictures beforehand showcasing a variety of facial expressions.
Kate has recently started her second season of soccer, which she is loving. This year she's on an all-girl team, so it's a little more acceptable for her to wear head-to-toe pink.
"That's all, folks!"
