A Weekend with Animals (Mark not included)

It's always a treat to have family in town particularly when they "treat." Mark took us to Fleming's Steak House for a delicious meal and then to the Hogle Zoo. Here are some pics from the Zoo.

Mark in front of "This is the Place" monument.

In front of the Hogle Zoo.

This bird has a pretty blue shirt just like Austin.

A huge fruit bat, kinda creepy.

Jen and me in front of an Amur Tiger.

A black bear chillin'.

Elephants and Jen, both have perfect memories.

Sweet afro. How did he get his hair like that.

Cute golden monkey.

Elephants and Jen... both are huge... I did NOT approve the posting of that picture.

Well, Jennifer, you are NOT huge at all (especially for a very-soon-to-be-mother)! You look great!
Thanks for the posting of all the neat-o pictures, Scott! Let me know if anything happens, please!

It wasn't that great of an afternoon, actually. As we progressed from cage to cage throughout the afternoon, the topic was always hair, as you can see from the pictures, and which I think is way overrated. With Jennifer having claimed the elephants -- the only other hairless animals left, other than me, were hippos, bats, crocodiles and snakes. Not good company. (Wouldn't it be great if there were to be no piling on, contrary comment or unflattering comparisons to the Sqaw Lake monster.)
