The Marathon and the monster it created...

I am going to apologize right now, because this post will mainly be about me. I was tagged on Facebook in a few choice pictures from the Houston Marathon, which took place this past weekend, and I wanted to share the joy they brought with all of you. Clint and I were asked to volunteer as a part of the Todd Krampitz Foundation (a foundation my boss is a board member of). I was asked especially to attend to the "Hooplah Station" to encourage runners at mile 10 of the half marathon, a post which I took very seriously. This was the result---I give you: "The Evolution of the Marathon Monster"

{starting out with the gatorade station. it was 7:30 am, and we had been awake since 5. tired but focused, but in all honesty, clint looks pretty happy to be there ;)}

{getting into the spirit of the gatorade station. right here you can see that i want to be in the picture, but i also am trying to keep my arm as extended as possible so i don't lose gatorade customers. i became pretty competitive with the chick in front of me}

{once the gatorade customers became sparse, we meandered over to create some hooplah. clint wasn't all that into it at first. and the megaphone was cramping my style.}

{now we're getting the hang of it!}

{then "fergalicious" came on...}

{and my freak flag started waving}

Poor Clint. He has an embarrassing wife.

Hilarious. I love the pictures they got. I don't even remember anyone with a camera there?

Also let it be known for the record that Becky was named "Most Spirited" of all the volunteers.

Becky, I'm a little disappointed I didn't get to see the extent of your volunteer spirit at the Kingwood Marathon. Maybe next time?

Also, you are too funny not to continue to post regularly on this blog. Please. :)

Becky - what a cute post! I wish I could have been there when you were dancing to Whitney Houston - she used to be my favorite - still like her voice. Anyway, you guys look great out there - you, too, Clint!
