Our last months as a family of four

With days to go (hopefully) before Baby Brother's birth, I figured I'd better catch up on posting the past few months' events.  When the little guy is here, these pictures will seem even more outdated than they actually are.

Jane and Kate at the preschool Easter egg hunt (told you these pics are outdated).

Easter morning!

There are way too many pictures like this - once the girls figured out how to use the camera, they delighted in catching me at awkward moments.  Then they broke the camera, so now their photography days are over.

Kate took this picture of Jane - I think she looks like little Scott here.

Summer fun in our backyard.  I love how much they laugh together.

Jane turned three in May and asked for a "piggie" themed birthday party.  The party itself was at a local park and really low-key, but the highlight was a surprise visit from an actual pig.  Scott's fellow resident has a pet pig that she graciously allowed to be mauled by all the kids there.  Jane was excited, but a little timid at first.

The pig didn't really want to hold still for her to pet him.

Opening presents at the park pavilion.

This gift went along nicely with the piggie theme.  Gotta love the enthusiasm.

Grandma's birthday package for Jane included some silly string for Kate. :)

Great-grandma Adams sent this cute birthday crown that Janie loved.

Later in May we took a road trip to Omaha, Nebraska for a law school graduation on Scott's side of the family.  We were able to visit some church history sites, including Council Bluffs (where Brigham Young was sustained as the second prophet).

At the Winter Quarters visitor center, we played pioneers.

This picture was taken at the Winter Quarters temple with a timer, but a stray cat had jumped up on the ledge where the camera was set up and was about to knock it over - thus everyone's funny faces.

Kate and her cousin Reese picked up right where they'd left off two years ago.  I can't believe how grown up they look now.

Also in May was Kate's dance recital - a very exciting event mostly because of the costume and makeup. :)  Jane felt left out so she got to wear a little lipstick too.

Random picture of the girls playing school with their stuffed animals

Kate "graduated" from preschool and will be a kindergartner in the fall!

With her awesome teacher Mrs. Kristi

A couple of weeks ago we took a short trip to San Antonio to visit my dear friend Page and her family, and to brave Sea World on a very hot Saturday.  It was a great time - the kids had a blast on the rides, at the shows, and seeing the animals, and it was so fun for me to catch up with Page and finally meet all three of her kids!

We were between cameras that weekend, so all of the Sea World pictures are stolen from Page's blog.  This is Jane and Carson watching the sea lion show.

This show was hilarious; I couldn't believe how well-trained and smart the animals were.

Feeding and petting the dolphins was a highlight.  Jane was wary of touching them but Kate was into it.

They met Cookie Monster!  Page's son Everett fed him a cookie. :)

By way of comparison, I am posting a belly pic from each of my pregnancies at 38 weeks.  My first pregnancy with Kate (I look really tired):

Definitely a bigger belly with Jane:

And a little bigger still with Trevor.

Here's hoping we'll meet the little guy real soon!  The girls are probably as excited as we are.

So fun to get caught up. I don't think you look any bigger in this pregnancy than with Jane. We can't wait for his arrival either.Love, Mom

Jennifer - loved this post. I can't decide on a favorite picture, although the one where everyone is laughing over the cat thing is funny. Loved the girls' pics and it was fun to see Paige again. Lots of good ones!

Lots of good pictures as usual. The kiddie pool is the best one in my opinion.
