Kate, Easter Eggs, Etc.

Here are some random pictures from the last couple of weeks. Jam ("Dam!") is probably Kate's most-requested food these days, although that's a tough call because it seems like she is always demanding something different. You can see how happy it makes her though:

How did that get in there? Kate, helping us to combat those post-vacation unpacking blues.

Another of Kate's recent passions is drawing. Scott took her out on our back patio to have some father-daughter time. He really is a great dad. :)

Chalk butt.
Every year the Swendsens do an Easter egg decorating contest. This year Scott was the only one in our family with valid entries. My excuse is that I was taking care of a sick baby at the time. Clint came over to help decorate but he was so busy fielding our grilling questions about his love life that he didn't get much decorating done either. Argyle egg:

This is one of those freeze-frame, CSI style shots of a bullet entering an egg. You know how eggs are always being shot at.

Last night I made this Apple Chicken Crostini and it required enough assembly time that Scott took a picture of it for me before it was consumed.

Don't miss the videos that Scott posted below.

a bullet to the egg. I would have voted for that one. Kate is a cutie, our little Jake definately has a crush on her.

I love the picture of Scott and Kate on the back patio. Kate is
destined to be an artist of some sort - with music in the family and, it seems, artistic ability as
well. WHAT A CUTIE PIE! The sandwhiches look great - way to go,
Jennifer!

Love, Mom

Okay, now you'll have to post the recipe...yum!

LOVE the chalk bum!

My brother used to use "d" instead of "j" for words when he was little too. For the longest time, I was "Denny" instead of Jennie. When I first saw the restaurant, Denny's, I thought they named it after me...an 8 yr old! :)

Why don't you just put Kate back in the suitcase and send her back? We have jam. We have chalk. We have a washing machine.

By the way, that egg is showing an exit wound, not an entrance.

I agree, post the recipe.

Cute Kate. We must see you all before we leave. We've been to Salt Lake many times lately, but none with time to stop by. We're not planning on going up for conference. Next week though, we'll be babysitting for our nephews up past Salt Lake... maybe on the way back we could see each other. I'll call you.

Hey guys! Melissa and I will be in Utah from April 11-15. Will Scott have time to go skiing with me 1 day?
