Update

Here's a little of what we've been up to lately.

1. Birthday stuff
My birthday was on Monday and we got to go to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner, hooray! While we were there Scott remarked that he loves it even more every time he goes, and that made my heart happy. :)
If you click on this picture to expand, you can see some lurkers in the background.

2. Viruses
Kate and I recently got over some yucky colds. Scott somehow remained immune. (Does pregnancy weaken your immune system or should I just accept that mine is weak?) Here's Kate in all her snotty glory. It was sad to hear her sing herself to sleep every night in her "sick voice."

3. Quality time with Kate
Maybe that title is hypocritical because at the moment Sesame Street is keeping her busy while I blog. But with our new baby's arrival just three months away, for the most part we're trying to savor our one-on-one time with Kate as much as possible. She is in this delightful "gratitude phase" right now that I'm savoring too. Lately she's been thanking me very specifically for everything. (At the park: "Thank you for bringing me, Mommy!" After finding a lost toy, "Thank you so much for finding Elmo!" During dinner, "Thanks for making yummy food for us, Mommy," etc.) I really didn't expect this kind of gratitude until she went away to college. Another current obsession of hers is matching me in whatever I do - for example, she will often insist that one of us change our shirt so that we're wearing the same color. Kate also tries to keep us on the straight and narrow. In church a couple of weeks ago as the sacrament was being passed she turned to me and said, "Mommy, are you thinking about Jesus?"

haha that last one was cute... Jennifer you're still not even fat from your fetus (girl #2), I'm sure there are many secretly jealous females out there of you who have gone through child birth lol

Sorry about the sickness. We all had a bout of it at our house. I love that last picture of you and Kate. Cheesecake Factory is my absolute FAVORITE! Good choice. =)

Yeah! You posted something new! I've been dying to hear about what you guys have been up to lately. Happy bday late! Your new haircut is super cute. But then again, you look beautiful no matter what your hairstyle is.

Kate still amazes me! I love all her quirks about matching and making sure you are "thinking about Jesus" LOL!

And I would agree that pregnancy makes your immune system weaker, I ALWAYS get a NASTY cold that lasts for 3 weeks when I'm pregnant.

Kate's picture will be my wallpaper now. Cute. She has the cutest little personality, too. And, of course I may be prejudice, but I think you are beautiful (pregnant or non-pregnant)!

What an intelligent child! You guys are doing a great job raising her. Mine always say "Mom, Jared hit me!" "Mom, I need some juice!" "Mom, I don't like your dinner!" So, lucky you! And a belated Happy Birthday Jen.

How cute?! She sounds like the sweetest girl! That is a great age where you can (usually) do no wrong in your child's eyes...:)

I think Kate is going to love being a big sister. It fits her personality so well.

We love you and hope you get past the new round of colds quickly.
